Ο Μάνος Χατζιδάκις είχε πει ότι ο μόνος μπουζουξής που θα μπορούσε να παίξει Μπετόβεν – (κλασσική μουσική, δηλαδή) ήταν ο Θεοχάρης Λεμονόπουλος!. Ο Λεμονόπουλος πριν ασχοληθεί με το μπουζουκι είχε σπουδάσει κλασικό βιολί (κλασική μουσική), 8 χρόνια στο ωδείο Αθηνών (ήξερε κιθάρα, πιάνο κ.α). Στην Αμερική στα μέσα της δεκαετίας του ’60 έκανε ηχογραφήσεις με κλασικά θέματα, στο μπουζουκι. Προσέθεσε πολλά από τα κλασικά ακούσματα του, στις συνθέσεις και τις διασκευές, κυρίως ορχηστικών κομματιών. Εδω τον συνοδεύει το μουσικό σχήμα “The Athenians Cafe Orchestra”.

Manos Hadjidakis had said that the only bouzouki player who could play Beethoven – (classical music, that is) was Theocharis Lemonopoulos !. Lemonopoulos before studying bouzouki had studied classical violin (classical music), 8 years at the Athens Conservatory (he knew guitar, piano, etc.). In America in the mid 60’s he made recordings with classical themes, on the bouzouki. He added many of his classic sounds to the compositions and arrangements, mainly of orchestral pieces. Here he is accompanied by the band “The Athenians Cafe Orchestra”.
